A dry-landing site on east Santiago where a trail crosses a late-1800s pahoehoe lava flow dotted with pyroclastic cones. The ropey black lava is one of the clearest recent flows in the islands to walk across. Wildlife is limited, though Galápagos penguins are seen near the shore.
