A shield volcano on Isabela with the largest caldera in the Galápagos, about 7 by 9 kilometers, reached by trail from Puerto Villamil. A drive from town and a walk or horseback ride reach the caldera rim; a further trail continues toward the Volcán Chico fumaroles and an old sulfur mine.
