Las Bachas beach
A soft white-sand beach on north Santa Cruz named for World War II barges left by the U.S. military, and a sea turtle nesting site. A brackish lagoon behind the beach draws flamingos, and marine iguanas, Sally Lightfoot crabs, and shorebirds are common.
