A freshwater crater lake in the highlands of San Cristóbal, the largest permanent fresh water in the Galápagos, sitting at about 700 meters. Ringed by ferns and sedges, it draws frigatebirds that swoop down to bathe, along with white-cheeked pintails and gallinules on the water.
