A black-sand landing on Floreana beside the small settlement of Puerto Velasco Ibarra, visited by special arrangement. It reaches the Wittmer pension, tied to the island’s contested 1930s settler history. Floreana was the first island in the archipelago to be settled, thanks to a rare fresh-water source.
