The youngest and westernmost of the main Galápagos islands, and one of the most volcanically active, dominated by La Cumbre volcano. Its single visitor site, Punta Espinoza, holds large marine iguana aggregations, flightless cormorants, and penguins amid lava fields that reach the shore.
